Legal

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 13 August 2026

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we use it only to talk to you and do the work, we never sell it, and you can ask us what we hold or have it deleted at any time.

Who we are

Mirai Trades builds websites and customer-communication systems for local trade businesses. We are a sole-trader business operated from Basingstoke, United Kingdom.

For anything in this policy, contact us at support@miraitrades.com.

Information we collect

We keep this deliberately minimal. Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Contact details you choose to give us - your name, email address, phone number and business name, when you email us or book a call.
  • Booking information - the date and time you pick and any notes you add when booking a call through our calendar.
  • Technical data - our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the site running and secure.

We do not run user accounts, we do not take payments through this site, and we do not collect anything about you that you have not either typed in yourself or that a normal web server records by default.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and hold the call you booked.
  • Provide and improve our services to you if you become a client.
  • Keep the website secure and working.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not send marketing you have not asked for.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies today. If we embed a booking calendar or similar tool, that tool may set cookies needed for it to function (for example, to remember your booking while you complete it). If we ever add analytics or any cookies beyond the strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run this site:

  • Vercel - hosts this website. Server logs are processed by Vercel on our behalf.
  • GitHub - stores the website’s code (not your personal data).
  • Our booking and customer-management platform - when you book a call, your booking details are processed by the scheduling tool we use to manage appointments.
  • Our email provider - handles messages you send to support@miraitrades.com.

Each provider only receives what it needs to do its job, and each is bound by its own privacy commitments.

International transfers

Some of our providers (such as Vercel) are US companies, so technical data like server logs may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, it is covered by the provider’s standard safeguards for international data transfers (such as standard contractual clauses).

How long we keep your data

Enquiry and booking details: for as long as we are talking, and up to 24 months after our last contact so we can pick the conversation back up. Client records: for the length of the working relationship plus the period UK law requires for business records. Server logs: retained briefly by our hosting provider on a rolling basis.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us at any time to: see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, receive a copy of it, or object to our use of it. Email support@miraitrades.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, we keep the data we hold to the minimum described above, and access to it is limited to the people who need it to serve you.

Automated decisions

We do not make any decisions about you by automated means. Communication tools we build for clients (such as call answering and text-back) operate on their customers’ behalf and under their instructions - the client’s own privacy policy covers those conversations.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated date at the top. Meaningful changes (like adding analytics) will be flagged clearly, not slipped in.
